About us
Bringing the flavor of Spain to the PNW
At Paella House, we bring you the essence of Spain with an unwavering commitment to quality. Our dishes are crafted using only the finest ingredients: organic vegetables sourced from local farmers when in season, hormone-free and antibiotic-free meats from trusted local farms, and fresh seafood straight from Washington’s coasts.
In order to provide the most authentic Paella, we incorporate world-class saffron from Castilla La Mancha, bomba rice grown in Valencia, and Spanish-imported essentials like extra virgin olive oil and sweet-smoked paprika. Upon request, we also offer specialty seafood delicacies such as scarlet prawns or Norwegian lobsters.
Every dish we create is a celebration of tradition, quality, and flavor. Let us bring the vibrant spirit of Spain to your next event.

History of Paella
Paella is more than a dish—it's a symbol of Spain's rich culinary heritage. Originating in 18th-century Valencia, this iconic dish is named after the wide, shallow pan in which it's cooked. Born in the La Albufera region, famed for its rice production, paella features bomba rice, introduced by the Moors over 1,200 years ago for its ability to absorb flavors perfectly.
Traditionally cooked over wood fires and served communally, paella embodies togetherness and tradition. With countless regional variations, it remains a timeless celebration of Spain's vibrant flavors and history.
